As a juried artist, I have always had a love of animals and had a passion to paint. When I retired a few years ago, I had the time and the desire to work with animals.

Born in the Mid-West in farm country, I have now been a California resident since 1988. In addition to my love of animals, my love of family is even greater. With a wonderful husband of 23 years, 3 grown fantastic children and 4 gorgeous grand children, my life is truly blessed!

Pastels are the medium I chose because of the flexibility in lending itself to capture the love and loyalty in your precious pet’s eyes. In my opinion, the eyes of an animal are the windows to their soul. My objective is to create a lasting original ‘forever’ portrait for you and your family.

Your portrait will be created by a favorite photo you provide, or when logistics permits, I will take the photo myself. Your painting will be created on 16X20 paper of the finest quality and double matted and ready to frame.

My work has been juried by the Pastel Society of San Diego. I donate to Helen Woodward Animal Shelter, Best Friends of Animals and Dogs for the Deaf. I am also a member of the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce.

The animals shown on my ‘POUND PETS” page are paintings I have done for those waiting for a loving home. Half of the Proceeds on the sale of these portraits go back to the shelter in which the animal is waiting for a loving home. I thank you for your support in keeping our animals from a devastating future.

All of my paintings are guaranteed. If for some reason you do not like your final painting, simply return it to me and your commission fee will be gladly returned to you.
